The American Industrial Real Estate Association is a nonprofit
corporation formed in 1960 for the purpose of fostering knowledge,
integrity and efficiency in the field of industrial and commercial
real estate brokerage. The A.I.R. is recognized as a "working"
organization, visibly and constantly engaged in professional, community
and government activities.
More than 1,000 real estate professionals in over
270 firms located in the 8 county Southern California area actively
participate in the A.I.R.
Among its many programs and services designed to
benefit members, the A.I.R. provides:
Specialized standard industrial/commercial
lease forms and purchase order forms for industrial and office real
estate.
The MULTIPLE Listing Service offering complete
facilities for cooperative marketing of industrial and office properties
through *Accredited firms membership.
Windows based computerized MULTIPLE Inventory
System with color images.
Annual D.R.E. accredited Seminars and Courses.
Advance Course on Industrial Real Estate
sponsored by A.I.R. and offered by the UCLA Extension Program.
Ongoing literature, meetings and information
on up-to-date real estate issues.
MEMBERSHIP
*Qualifications
of an Active Member:
1. A valid California real
estate broker and/or salesperson license.
2. Must
be actively engaged in industrial and/or office real estate brokerage.
3. Has
no pending or adjudicated ethics complaints.
How to Apply:
1. Print
the
Membership Application
(Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or greater
required) or request an application be sent to you.
2. Complete
the application in its entirety, including all transactions for
the past 2 years.
3. Submit
letters of recommendation as listed in the application.
4. Pay
the $50.00 application fee.
5. Attend
Orientaion within 2 years from date of Application and pay a
$150.00 orientation fee.
6. Pass
the Membership Exam, administered by the A.I.R.
*Application
for Accredited Firm is made separately. For those persons that do
not qualify as Active Members, Affiliate membership is provided.
